The DMK Enzyme Therapy Facial has 3 steps: 1. Deep Cleanse & Exfoliation 2. Enzyme Mask 3. Transdermal Delivery System Your skin will be assessed as to what type of exfoliation should be done – a hot peel or an ice peel, both removing the top layer of the dead skin cells. The hot peel contains cinnamon & cassia giving you a pseudo heat effect on your skin. It is suited for all skin concerns except rosacea & other inflamed conditions. The ice peel contains polylactic & glycolic acid. As it gets colder, the dead skin cells fracture and fall away. It is best suited for those with dermatitis, acne, rosacea & other inflamed conditions. The Enzyme Mask is left on for 45mins. As it hardens, it will feel tight, and you may notice a pulsating sensation under the skin as capillaries dilate bringing fresh nutrients &oxygen to your cells. This is called the plasmatic effect - true oxygen therapy from the inside out. Once the mask has been taken off, you will then move onto the third step of the facial; Transdermal Delivery System. Various DMK products are applied to the skin (tailored to your skin type) which have been designed to diffuse into the deeper layers of the skin. You may experience some redness for about 20 minutes from the Plasmatic effect. Other side effects are rare but can include irritation, mild itching, temporary hyper-pigmentation and swelling for up to 24 hours. Slight flaking, dryness and peeling may be present for up to 72 hours post treatment. How many do I need? Results are immediate but for best results with long term effects, a course of 3-8 is recommended along with using the homecare mask in-between treatments which are one third of the strength.
